This small through girder bridge crosses Blue Mounds Creek near Arena.
Built in 1902, this bridge consists of a single "C4" style through girder span set onto concrete abutments. In addition, it is approached by trestle to the west.
Bridges like this are standard in design, and are seen all over the railroad system. This structure replaced a wooden Howe Through Truss, built in 1884.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in good condition. Recent rehabilitative work has been done on the bridge.
The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
